Abel's Apple Acres is pleased to offer special fall field trips at our working apple ranch on weekdays, September through December.

Our field trips are designed to be informative, scenic, and pleasurable for all ages from primary school children to senior adults and all those inbetween.  Groups include schools, clubs, service organizations as well as friends and neighbors.

Our Basic trip begins with a ride in a tractor- drawn wagon through the apple orchard.  There, you will learn about apple ranching from blossom through harvest in a presentation geared toward your needs and interests.  On the return ride, the wagon stops by the horse barn*, and then rolls by
the duck pond on its way to the apple barn and bake shop.

Inside the apple barn, your group will enter our large modern kitchen where all will see first hand how apples are made into delectable bakery goodies.  A fresh apple donut, cool apple juice, and a crisp apple will be served to everyone in your group.

*NEW...Field Trip for Friends of Horses & Ponies

Visit Abel's Stable area where our horses and ponies look forward to your visit.  The tour is informational, enjoyable, and highlights the benefits of using old-fashioned Horse Sense.   As you are introduced to our equine family, you will learn their names, colors, breeds, uses and participate in hands on grooming.  Included is a saddling and bridling demonstration and more.  After the equine presentation, you will be served refreshments featuring Abel's homemade, fresh apple donuts and apple juice.
